Outfit of the Night: Red & Gold

Hi All!!

I went out Monday night.. yes MONDAY night of all nights in the week! I think I must be trying to regain my raving self back. There was a time in my life - when I was a student - that I would go out every single night of the week for weeks in a row.

I soon stopped that when I was sent home from work one Sunday because I nearly collapsed of exhaustion from six weeks straight partying!! What an achievement eh? I couldn't do two nights in a row now haha!

Anyways, this is what I wore....

Top (tucked into bra to make a crop top: Primark
Jeggings: Topshop
Heels: Very.co.uk

Just a little close up of my face and hair....

I thought I would try something different and do the gypsy look!

Necklace: River Island

Makeup Mondays With Mario: Belle of the Brows

Celebrity makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic is answering your burning beauty questions!!! Every Monday, he will answer a beauty/skin care question as part of a weekly column on Spoiled Pretty, Makeup Mondays with Mario.

Hi Mario,

I have sparse eyebrows, but I love the look of thick eyebows (like Camilla Belle's). Do you have tips for filling in sparse brows so that they still look believable? Every time I try, I feel like the color is off or I'm too heavy-handed with the application - and the result isn't realistic. Application and product suggestions are much appreciated.

Thanks a ton!
Eryn

Hi Eryn,

You should start out by filling in your brows with a brow pencil that is lighter then your hair. I recommend a pencil that has a very thin tip like MAC's Eye Brows pencils. Fill in the inner corners of the brows with light upward strokes to mimic natural brow hairs and continue towards the outer corners. It's very important that you brush through the brows a couple of times to blend and soften the pencil. Next you should fill them in again with a eye shadow, using a thin slanted brow brush. The powder shadow should be very similar in color to the pencil (don't go much darker) because it will darken once it's over the pencil. Brush through and blend again. The layering of the light pencil and light powder blended into your brows should create a natural looking texture.

For those of you who once upon a time had a full brow, tweezed and waxed them for years and now can't grow them back, I sometimes recommend using Rogaine on the eye brows every night before bedtime. Results are not guaranteed but it does work on many women after continued use. Give it a try.

Thanks for visiting Makeup Mondays with Mario!

xo,
Mario

Review: Coloured Contact Lenses

Hi All!!

Product:
Freshlook Colourblends Lenses

It's Purpose:
'FRESHLOOK COLORBLENDS advanced color technology blends three colors on one lens. 3-in-1 FreshLook ColorBlends create the most natural looking eye color change ever. Each color is specially blended for the most realistic look with hazel around the pupil area and a charcoal outer colorburst pattern. They are available in Blue, honey, Green, Gray, Turquoise, Pure Hazel, Amethyst, True Sapphire and the latest additions Sterling Grey, Brilliant Blue & Gemstone Green' - sourced from here

My Thoughts:
I have always wanted to try out colour contact lenses, but they HAD to be prescribed because I am as blind as a bat and CHEAP!! I decided to check out many websites to find out the cost of monthly prescribed coloured lenses - yes asking for a lot really for a cheap price! I found a few sites that charged in the £20-£30 range for what I was looking for. But all hail me the queen of bargains, I found them for only £12!!!!!

They last a month, they are prescribed and I ordered them in Grey....

As you can see they look very natual, if you didn't know me you would probably think they are my natural eye colour. (I hope you didn't forget my eyes are actually brown)

This range is available in a variety of colours, so you can take your pick really....

I will definately be giving these a big thumbs up, I only ordered them Thursday afternoon and they arrived Friday!! I wore them out Friday night and I had a few compliments on them by friends and Richard is a big fan too!
