Outfit of the Night & Family party photos :)

Hi All!!

I went to my younger cousin, Shanice's 18th birthday party last night in Stoke and had a brilliant time!! Its so weird seeing my cousins growing up, as I am the eldest grandchild on my mothers side aged 23years (ick!!) and the youngest is just 4months old... this is out of 14 grandchildren!! It was a lovely night out and spent with some of my crazy family eating, drinking and partying it up for hours on end.

Here are some photos of the night, first off though is an 'outfit of the night' pose :)

Eyeshadow Colors

Picking the right eyeshadow palettes enhances your assets and your whole face. You are encouraged to experiment and to pick different colors to find out which would suit your taste. The following are some of the most basic things you should consider. For blue eyes, black and blues of a deeper shade than your eyes work best. Combine them with purple, violet, gray, and taupe. Silver, turquoise, and fuchsia also make trendy choices.

For green or hazel eyes, browns and greens will complement you eyes as well as gold, purple, and lime. As could be seen in eye makeup tips with pictures, brown eyes could get the best out of bronze, copper, green, and beige shades. Royal blue, lime green, and hot pink are top choices for young people.

Review: Olay Quench Mousse

Hi All!!

Product
Olay Quench Mousse

It's Purpose:
Gives you three dimensions of hydration...
♥ Nourishing Coverage- glides easily and evenly onto skin
♥ Deep absorption - penetrates quickly beneath skin's surface
♥ Lasting hydraytion- continuously moisturises throughout the day

My thoughts:
I first saw this in my local Poundland and thought 'why not' and I am so glad that I have found this as it's amazing!! My initial thoughts on a moisturiser that is in mousse form was that its a bit weird and it does take some getting used to, but once you get over the idea of rubbing mousse into your skin it's great. I found that my skin took to this instantly as after a few days of using it my skin started to feel so much more softer and smoother!!

Doing exactly what it says on the tin you only need a generous amount as a little goes a long way! As you can see in the following photo this is how it comes out of the spray can:

I use it once a day after I shower, it lasts a looooong time and I also really like its nice scent. The added extra sparkly bits that aren't mentioned on the container is nice but not too noticeable if your not into that kind of thing for everyday use. The only downfall is sometimes I've noticed after i've shaved my legs and then used the mousse, I felt a slight sting but nothing too major!!
I have bought two of these already; one for home and one to stay at the fella's for when i sleep over! I would recommend this product as I do think it really works and is great at keep the skin hydrated and moisterised all day *thumbs up*

Interview With François Nars

NARS is one of my all-time favorite brands – and if you’re a lover of makeup, it's probably high on your list too. Whenever I visit Sephora, I never do a lap before committing to a location. My first stop is always the NARS counter.

I'll never forget the time when my sister and I were shopping at the local mall and she started to get cranky; I'm a shopper of Olympic proportions, whereas she starts to tire after just a few hours. So when we stopped by Sephora, I bought her NARS Duo Eyeshadow in Rated R and it calmed her right down. That's the power of NARS, people.

Recently, my girl Amber scored an exclusive interview with the legendary François Nars. Did you know that his most-used makeup item is NARS Cosmetics Satin Lipstick in Honolulu Honey – which just so happens to be celebrity makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic's go-to nude lipstick?

For more dishy deets on François Nars, like how he creates a smoky eye and the inspiration behind the Schiap lipstick and nail polish shade, visit dailymakeover.com.

Makeup Mondays With Mario: Your Perfect Nude Lip

Celebrity makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic is answering your burning beauty questions!!! Every Monday, he will answer a beauty/skin care question as part of a weekly column on Spoiled Pretty, Makeup Mondays with Mario.

Hi Mario,

If you're reading this, it means that you chose my question – which is so exciting!!! I am a big fan and am awed by your talent. I've been reading your column on Spoiled Pretty since it started, and have really improved as an amateur makeup artist. So thanks! Anyway, here is my question – I love the nude lip look, but I never know how to pull it off. How do I find my right shade of nude, and do you have any tools/techniques for pulling off the look? And can you recommend some of you all-time favorite nude lipsticks/glosses?

Your biggest fan,
Kirstie

Hey Kirstie,

Let me start out by saying that you're very sweet!

When choosing nude shades for your lips, you should keep a couple things in mind: light pinks look better on fare skin because they will most likely have too much white in them for darker complexions. Peachy/beige nudes look great on medium to darker skin tones because of the yellow pigments in them.

If your lips are naturally red or dark, pat some foundation on your lips first to block out the color so that the true lipstick shade shows. My fave nudes are Honolulu Honey Lipstick by NARS and Josie Maran Plumping Lip Gloss in Optimism.

Thanks for visiting Makeup Mondays with Mario!

xo,
Mario
