Nails: Dior Addict Nail Colour

Hi All!

I was looking through my nail polish collection and totally forgot I owned this; Dior Addict one-coat nail polish in rose '580'. I've had it for a about two/three years and I remember buying it at an end of season sale at the House of Fraser, Christian Dior counter for about £6!!! It's not gunky or anything, so I thought i'd put it on tonight and it applied very well. It's a lovely subtle rose/brown shade which is slightly darker then the photo I have taken. Although it states it only needs one coat, applying two coats max helps achieve a rich full shade and it dried pretty quick unlike some other polishes I have tried.

Overall i'm very pleased with the application and shade and will hopefully have an update for you on it's life span so watch this space! Until then, anything you guys forgot you owned that you recently re-discovered?

Eyeliner Tips - Eyeliner Tips Every Woman Should Know

The proper application of eyeliner can do wonders for the eyes and the face. There pencil eyeliners and liquid eyeliners and you could choose whichever fist your mood or preference. Eyeliners are also now available in a variety of shades other than the most common black and brown.

Eyeliner Tips

Basically, eyeliner tips are practical and easy to remember. To apply eyeliner, pull the corner of your eye gently. Draw a straight line on the upper lash starting from the inside corner outwards. Angle the pencil toward your lashes so your hand does not get tired.

The following are some eyeliner tips on how to achieve various looks and eye-shape illusions. If you have close-set eyes, line the outer third of your upper lids with dark tones like black or gray. Use a cotton swab or a sponge to smudge gently. Put liner of a lighter shade to the inner eye to make it look more open.

If you have small eyes and would like to make them look bigger, apply liner thinnest from the corner of your eye, gradually drawing the line heavier as you stroke outwards. Try using light-colored eyeliners for lining the lower lashes. There are eyeliners available in silver, gold, and white.

Eyeliner tips for deep-set eyes advise the application of pale and light colors along the upper lashes. You could also try shimmery colors. Afterwards, apply gray, taupe, and other neutral shades to the lower lash line.

Other eyeliner tips you could try include dusting loose powder or sheer on the surface of your lids so the eyeliner will stick longer. Curl your lashes before applying eyeliner to avoid smudging. Using a small brush, you could try using eyeshadow on top of the eyeliner or as a liner itself. This produces a smoky look.

Dramatic Eye Makeup Tips

The most basic of all dramatic eye makeup tips is to pencil your eyebrows with shadow of a heavier shade than their natural tone. Next is to maintain your eyebrows in a symmetrical shape, following your natural arch.

  • Make your eyes look dramatic and large by applying light shades of eyeshadow covering the whole area between the eyelash line and the eyebrow. Then apply a darker shadow on the eyelid crease area.
  • For a more vibrant look, dramatic eye makeup tips suggest applying a medium shade of shadow on top of a darker shade. Blend well into the eyebrow bone.
  • Eyeliner, either pencil or liquid, and mascara are essentials in achieving dramatic eyes. Apply black liner to the upper lashes and pencil a thinner line in the eye's inner corner.
  • There are also dramatic eye makeup tips for Asian women. Black eyeliners and mascara could achieve the desired effect. Pencil along the lash lines and extend the line a little past the end of your eyes.

Eye Makeup - How To Apply Mascara

It’s true that at times simplicity creates all the difference mainly if you do you eye makeup properly. Grooming up properly, when you have somewhere to go, means a hassle every time. But on the other hand a good dress can be complemented with only some jewelry items and a light smattering of makeup can make you look totally different. And too add to this light makeup you can apply little bit of mascara which will draw attention to your eyes making them more flattering and dreamy looking by giving an illusion of a brighter eye. So eye makeup makes all the difference and mascara creates a magic in that.

It’s your choice, how glamorous you want to look when you are going out, whether you want to look all-out glamor or gorgeous like a “Diva”, a coat of mascara can make wonder with your eyes. Lashes will look long, curvy, dark and thick. Isn’t that sounds great? But if you are not regular in doing makeup, then you may have these questions before selecting or picking up mascara from among innumerable brands and styles.

Eye Makeup TipsWhat kind of eyelashes do you have - long, curly, thick, thin, short or just right and how to do my eye makeup?

If you get the right answer for this question then you can easily choose among the different brands and styles. If you have shorter lashes then you could go for lash out with a length enhancing type of mascara. Thinner lashes will become fuller with a thickening formula and longer lashes will really benefit from curling mascara.

Eye MuscaraWhich color of mascara will look best with my complexion and will go together with my outfit and wardrobe?

Nowadays mascaras are available in extensive variety, colors and styles. From intense black to black and dark brown to lighter shades, or even cool or funky colors like blues and greens. But almost all the time black and brown tones are most suitable and blend well with any skin tone, eye color and dress.

Eye Makeup Tips - MuscaraOh! If I get drenched in this rainy season or maybe I plan to go swimming – then do I have to re-doing my makeup eye makeup again? If I cry in my best friend wedding then my eye makeup will thwart?

If you answered yes to any of these questions then the only solution is waterproof mascara. Best for preventing rainy seasons or emotional times in weddings, graduations and the like, waterproof mascara can save the day, or at least your face. These mascaras are available in shades of black and brown. But this type of mascara in most cases can be difficult to remove, if you don’t have a makeup remover which is capable of tenderly washing away water resistant makeup.

If this problem is haunting you, then try a lash thickening mascara, or perhaps one that lengthens and thickens. A thicker formula will be better for your lashes than a product that cakes on layer after layer. Even if your eyelashes are still a bit subtle, you can always further accent your eyes with eyeliner and darker eye shadows. If you still seem to have trouble making your eyes more defined, consider checking into fake eyelashes - be a bombshell for special occasions.
